Leslie Trigg
A Little About Leslie
Leslie is the Principal Physiotherapist and Director of Integrity Physiotherapy Como, with over 18 years of clinical experience. He has a strong focus on the management of musculoskeletal pain, vertigo and dizziness, and jaw (TMD) conditions.
He completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) at Curtin University in 2001, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy in 2007. Since then, Leslie has developed extensive experience across musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurosurgical, and sports physiotherapy settings, with a particular focus on chronic pain and pain recovery. He has also contributed to the profession through teaching roles at both Curtin University and the University of Notre Dame.
Leslie is known for his ability to assess and manage more complex clinical presentations with a clear, structured approach. Whilst there are many theories about why people develop and sustain persistent symptoms, he recognises that no two people are alike. His work is grounded in clinical experience, a strong understanding of how pain and dizziness are generated and maintained, and a thorough knowledge of the evidence.
In recent years, Leslie has undertaken further training in psychologically informed physiotherapy, including Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), somatic approaches for nervous system recovery, and modern frameworks for understanding neuroplastic pain and chronic dizziness. He has studied both nationally and internationally to stay current with the most up-to-date approaches in this field. This has shaped an integrated approach to care — one that recognises the role of the brain and nervous system in pain and dizziness, alongside the physical body.
He takes time to understand each patient’s story, recognising that previous injury, learned protective responses, and the way the brain interprets and predicts symptoms can all contribute to ongoing pain or dizziness. His aim is to help patients understand what is driving their symptoms and guide them through a structured process of recovery — combining education, movement, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and nervous system retraining. Leslie is known for developing clear, structured plans and guiding patients through more complex or persistent presentations. He consults both in-person and via a small number of online appointments each week.
Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, strength training, and spending time with his family.
